Will believes the key to training a horse is in sharing responsibility with the horse and allowing the horse to open his mind. An open mind will remove fear, build confidence, eliminate anxiety and tension, and allow the horse to be involved in the training process. A horse that feels involved will become empowered by the success he has earned. By combining an empathetic approach to teaching, with mechanical correctness a horse develops the mental ability to deal with stress, to think his way out of conflict situations, to believe in himself and his handler. He will also develop the coordination, strength, suppleness and straightness required to be balanced in movement.
